Columbus Short arrested in Dallas for public intoxication

DALLAS, TX (KTRK) -- There are more legal troubles for former "Scandal" actor Columbus Short.

He was arrested in Dallas for public intoxication. Police say the 31-year-old was arrested yesterday at the Katy Trail Ice House, a popular beer garden and restaurant.

An employee told "People" magazine that short got into an argument with an off-duty officer working security. Short is also under investigation in two separate battery cases in Los Angeles.

He will not be returning to "Scandal" next season.
