Child injured after lightning strikes home while he was using computer in NW Harris County: Pct. 4

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- An investigation is underway after a child was injured when lightning struck a home in northwest Harris County on Tuesday evening, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 4 officials.

According to deputies, the incident happened in the 14400 block of Cypress View Drive.

Deputies say that an electrical current surged through the home's wiring, prompting a small fire in the attic and electrocuting the homeowner's son while he was using a computer.

Law enforcement says that the child is being evaluated by EMS.
