HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A 22-year-old has been charged with murder following a chase that led to a passenger's death on Highway 6 on Wednesday.
Court records said that Stephen Molina was arrested and charged after he reportedly did not adhere to a traffic stop conducted by Houston Police Department officers. The chase ended right on the Westpark Toll Road overpass.

Molina reportedly led police on a chase that reached 120 miles per hour, officials said. The suspect also reportedly turned off his car headlights before crashing into a curb.
According to records, there were two other passengers in the car with Molina. As they tried to exit the car after crashing, a responding HPD officer approached from the opposite side and struck the car, killing one of the passengers.

Officials said Molina said he fled from the officers because he "wanted to go home." He also admitted to drinking alcohol and to having ingested cocaine before getting behind the wheel.
He was detained and then denied bond in probable cause court. His next court date is expected on Monday, June 6, according to records.
