Traffic delays expected after train clips car, inspection underway, Sugar Land PD says

SUGAR LAND, Texas (KTRK) -- A train was stopped in its tracks for inspection after it was clipped by a car, the Sugar Land Police Department said.

Officers said the incident was reported on Tuesday afternoon on the train tracks near the intersection of Highway 90 and Dairy Ashford Road.

According to officials, there were no injuries due to the accident.

The train was stopped while an inspection was underway, and traffic delays were expected, SLPD said.

Officials did not say whether the car that was clipped remained at the scene.
