
BAYTOWN, Texas (KTRK) -- Police in Baytown are asking for the public's help in the shooting death of a 32-year-old man.
According to a release from the Baytown Police Department, the shooting happened Jan. 31 at about 10 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of James Bowie Drive. Officers said they responded to a call in reference to an unresponsive man.
When officers and paramedics arrived, they provided life-saving measures, and the victim, identified as Jerome Harris from Louisiana, was taken to the hospital. Authorities said Harris was later pronounced dead.
Investigators said Harris' cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound, but the case remains under investigation.
