HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A partnership between The Ensemble Theater and the Hobby Center is bringing a one-man show to the stage that chronicles C.J. Emmons' 23-year career in Hollywood, but for this artist, it all started in Houston!
Emmons joined Eyewitness News live on Thursday to discuss his roots at the Ensemble and his career, including his role as principal singer on ABC's Dancing With The Stars for over 11 years.
His show, I'm Freaking Talented, uses storytelling, comedy, and singing to document his successes, failures, difficulties, and triumphs.

Emmons' performance is part of the Hobby Center's annual initiative, which celebrates and supports local artists who broaden the city's cultural fabric and embody the iconic idea that Houston is Inspired.
Launched in 2023-2024, Houston is Inspired is a signature Hobby Center program that amplifies the work of local artists and organizations through week-long residencies, offering access to the Hobby Center's premier spaces, professional production support, and marketing resources, according to a Hobby Center press release.
I'm Freaking Talented hits the stage for one night only on Dec.12.
Tickets start at $20.
