HPD confirms 2nd shooting within days at Eleanor Tinsley Park

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A 19-year-old man was shot early Thursday morning in a parking area at Eleanor Tinsley Park, according to police.

The Houston Police Department said the suspected shooter is still at large.

A lieutenant with the department told ABC13 that the 19-year-old's girlfriend got into a fight with other people in the parking lot of the park.

HPD says that the teen was shot in the chest and taken to the hospital.

Another teen was shot near the park Saturday morning. Police say he is expected to survive.

HPD says the suspect is possibly a young Hispanic man who might have left the scene in a truck.

This is the second shooting in this area in a matter of days.
