
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Fire department officials said a man was rushed to the hospital due to burns from a house fire in east Houston on Sunday evening.
According to the Houston Fire Department, crews were dispatched to the fire at about 7:15 p.m. on Sunday in the 13000 block of Blythe Street near Cimarron Street.
Authorities said the man was taken to the hospital for multiple burns. Officials said a woman was also at the scene, but was not injured. No firefighters were injured, according to HFD.
The identities of the man and the woman are still unknown. HFD said initial reports from neighbors were that an older couple lived in the house.
