15-year-old arrested following series of vape store robberies, according to HCSO

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A teenager is behind bars after allegedly robbing several Vape City stores, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Detectives from the HCSO Violent Crimes Unit said they arrested a 15-year-old boy on Tuesday after a robbery on the 10200 block of North Freeway.

Investigators said surveillance cameras recorded the robbery, which helped detectives identify the teen.

During the investigation, detectives found the vehicle the teen used in several robberies at Vape City stores across Harris County.

With help from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Houston Police Department said it arrested the teen during a traffic stop.

HCSO said the teen was charged with aggravated robbery and taken to the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center.
