Straying from tradition, Trump, the presumptive nominee, has made an appearance of some sort in the conventions host city each day of the convention.
Tuesday night it was a virtual appearance, live from New York thanking delegates for awarding him the party's presidential nomination.
It was his home state of New York who put him over the top, his son Donald Junior at the mic to make the announcement.
On Monday trump made an in person appearance to introduce his wife Melania up before her speech.
And he will be in attendance tonight when Mike pence delivers his address as the vice presidential nominee.
Also speaking tonight is Texas senator and Trump rival Ted Cruz.
