HOUSTON (KTRK) -- It was a tough fight, but Harris County DA Devon Anderson managed to keep her title, beating opponent Kim Ogg in Tuesday's election.

The Democratic candidate conceded to Anderson in her speech Tuesday night.

"This race is proof that people are tired of filling the jails with low-level criminals. There's a double standard and they want inclusion for all the communities of Houston. I just want to say ... the fight for equal justice will go on," Ogg told supporters.

Anderson was appointed to the DA's position after her husband's death. Ogg had called herself the underdog, though political analysts called the race a tight one.
