HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Two teens were stabbed overnight because the suspect allegedly thought they were taking pictures of him, Houston police said.

According to authorities, the victims, who were between 16 and 18 years old, were stabbed several times around midnight in the 2600 block of Charles Road. One teen was stabbed in the arm while the other was wounded in the neck and chest area.

Both teens were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive.

Houston police Lt. Larry Crowson said several family members were taking pictures behind their home when a man drove up to them. Police believe the man was upset because he thought they were taking pictures of him, causing an altercation.

Police described the suspect as a black man, between 24 and 26 years old. He is about 5'6" and 160 pounds. Police said he is sporting a beard and dreadlocks.

The man took off in a cream-colored Chevrolet Impala.
