Police searching for shooter near NW Houston apartments

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A person was hit in the leg when gunfire rang out early Saturday night in northwest Houston.

Police are searching for the shooter near the 6400 block of Wilshire Place Drive near Hollister Street, not far from US-290.

A bystander called 911 and told dispatchers they heard about six gunshots.

We do not know the condition of the victim or whether police have identified the suspect.
