HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Lawyers for the anti-abortion activists facing charges in the Planned Parenthood case spoke out in a press conference in front of Civil Court today in Houston.

The lawyers discussed a motion filed to dismiss the charges. The lawyers say the Grand Jury unlawfully indicted their clients and that Planned Parenthood had an unlawful influence over the grand jury.

The grand jury investigation looked into Planned Parenthood after undercover videos surfaced claiming the nation's largest abortion provider illegally sold fetal tissue to make a profit. However, the Houston grand jury cleared Planned Parenthood of misusing fetal tissue and instead indicted David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt, who made the videos, on felony charges of tampering with a governmental record for using fake driver's licenses. Daleiden also faces a misdemeanor related to purchasing human organs.
