Truck crashes into construction site, lands in 20-feet-deep hole

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A pickup truck crashed through construction barriers downtown this morning and landed in a 20-feet-deep hole.

The accident happened around 2:00am near Preston and Louisiana.

Witnesses say the driver ran two red lights before hitting the construction site.

The driver was injured, but should survive.

Police believe the driver might have been drinking.

A wrecker hauled the truck out of the hole.
