POWELL, OH -- An 8-week-old polar bear cub at an Ohio zoo is doing well after being taken care of by staff when her mother stopped caring for her.
The staff at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium removed the little cub from her den and took over her care. So far, staff said they are pleased with the progress she's made, but they are taking things one day at a time.
The zoo took videos of the cute critter playing with the camera, sleeping on a stuffed animal and drinking from a bottle. She was born on Nov. 6 and had a sibling, but it did not survive long after birth.
She weighs a little more than six pounds and measures 17.5 inches long.
