Pasadena ISD: Parent found with gun during fight between students

PASADENA, TX (KTRK) -- The mother of a student was arrested for allegedly bringing a gun to a fight between her child and another student.

According to a note sent to parents at Pasadena High School, on Tuesday, two female students met in a park across the street after school to fight. According to witnesses, the mother of one of the students was there with a gun.

Campus administrators reported the incident to district police. Virdiana Alvarez was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Court records show she pulled out a gun during the fight. One eyewitness told Eyewitness News Alvarez hit her daughter's rival with that gun several times.

The school district disciplined both students. Alvarez is out of jail on $35,000 bond.
