GALVESTON, TX (KTRK) -- A Pasadena man is facing felony charges for allegedly driving drunk with children in his vehicle when he was involved in a wreck Friday.

According to police, David Shenoda, 29, was driving with two children and another adult passenger in his vehicle when it was hit by a Chrysler 200 that had run a red light at the intersection of 31st Street and Avenue O.

The two occupants of the Chrysler had to be extracted from the vehicle, while Shenoda and the occupants of the vehicle he was reportedly driving were able to get out of their vehicle on their own.

Police say while they were interviewing Shenoda, they detected signs of intoxication and began an investigation.

Shenoda was arrested and charged for driving while intoxicated with a child passenger, a state jail felony that carries a possible two-year sentence and $10,000 fine. Shenoda's bond has been set at $5,000.

All six people involved in the accident sustained only minor injuries, say police, but taken to the hospital for evaluation.
