Susan G Komen Race for the Cure in downtown
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Pink took over downtown Houston on Saturday morning.
20,000 people turned out for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
Mayor Sylvester Turner says it's the largest race of its kind in the world.

All of the net proceeds go to the organization and 75% of the proceeds benefit the local community.
The Susan G. Komen foundation provides programs and research in the fight against breast cancer.
James Werner's mother was just diagnosed with breast cancer last month.
When he found out, he decided to sign up for the run.
"I'm very proud of her. I'm glad they found it quickly. I'm used to being able to help people and it's hard for me to do because I'm not a doctor so I'm doing whatever i can to help out," said James Werner.
He even took his mom along with during the race. He talked with her via Facetime as he ran.
At the end, he recorded a special message to mom as he crossed the finished line, saying "I love you mom."
Cancer has touched so many lives. It's Mayor Sylvester Turner says it's important we fight it.
"In many cases women who are just fighting through and they're still carrying on their daily lives. They're still taking care of their families. They're still working," said Mayor Sylvester Turner.
