YMCA to distribute school supplies to families in need

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Do you remember when we partnered with the YMCA earlier this summer to collect backpacks and school supplies?

Operation Backpack is nearly complete and today all those necessary school supplies are going to be distributed to families in need.

Elissa Rivas takes a look at the people who benefit from the YMCA's Operation Backpack

The YMCA is set to distribute your generous donations at their more than 30 centers across the Houston area.

You can find one of those 30 YMCA centers on their website if you are a family in need of school supplies.
