HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston police are looking for five people that they say pried their way into a dentist's office in southeast Houston. Police were tipped off when a safe was found in the middle of a street.
It all started around 5:30am with the men breaking in through the back door of the pharmacy. What they did next was caught on tape.
Surveillance video showed the men inside. They tried to get into a locked room where all the drugs are kept.
After a few hard kicks, the men barge in. Once inside, it was a free for all. Three men stuffed their backpacks with prescription medications and a fourth man yanked out a large safe that had been locked in a cage.
Once they are able to pry it out, Houston police tell us the suspects dragged the safe 200 feet to where a getaway car was waiting for them.
"Unfortunately, pharmacists are the main targets," said business owner Jay Azimpoor. "They get burglarized frequently and vandalize the building. They try to get in whatever it takes."
The suspects didn't get away with much. Police were able to arrest one man and the safe was left in the middle of the street.
The suspect who was arrested, believed to be the getaway driver, will face burglary charges. Police need your help to find the other suspects. If you recognize them , you're asked to call authorities.
