Surveillance video released by HPD shows a shooting at a party in southeast Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Surveillance video released by police shows a party in southeast Houston suddenly turning to chaos when two men fire guns into the crowd.

The incident happened in the 4400 block of South MacGregor on May 10.

Police say people were partying when a fight broke out. That's when police say they believe a man handed a gun to the second man, who then fired into the crowd multiple times.

No one was shot, but a 24-year-old Dallas man fell and was stampeded as party goers raced to the exits. He was hospitalized with a broken jaw.

Those suspected of firing the shots are described as two black men. One man wore a white shirt and had a ponytail, while the other wore dark clothes. Both men are seen in the video with pistols.

Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD South Central Patrol Station at 832-394-0200 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
