Security alert issued for US students after robberies
UH students are on alert after getting news of several robberies on campus

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- University of Houston police are investigating after a student says she was robbed at her apartment complex Wednesday morning.

It happened at around 10am. The student was returning to the Cambridge Oaks apartments when a vehicle with two men inside approached.

The student says the passenger got out, approached her and pushed her against the building. He then reportedly took her purse.

The suspects took off in the vehicle in an unknown direction.

One suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall and between 200 and 250 pounds. He's 25 to 30 years of age and bald. He was wearing a red polo, shirt, blue jeans and possibly wearing glasses.

The other suspect, who police say was driving, is a black male wearing a light green shirt.

The vehicle is a gray and silver 2013 Chevrolet Malibu four-door sedan with license plate DCH-9748.
