Three smash-and-grab robberies
Police are searching for suspects after several robberies in Kingwood

KINGWOOD (KTRK) -- Thieves with stolen trucks targeted a pair of convenience stores leaving behind thousands of dollars in damage in Kingwood.

A stolen truck was rammed into a convenience store late last night but the suspects were not able to steal anything.

It turns out this is the second smash and grab of the night which happened about five miles away another store that was damaged.

The other store is off of Westlake Houston Parkway a block and a half away from the HPD substation in Kingwood.

Police say the robbers moved quickly and were gone before the officers arrived, but in that robbery nothing was taken.

Then about a half-hour later, police found the red truck inside the convenience store off of Loop 494 and Northpark Drive.

The truck was wedged in so tightly that it got stuck and the suspects were not able to steal anything from here either.

In both cases the suspects got away.
