Shots fired near Spring ISD transportation center, district says

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Eyewitness News has learned shots were fired this morning near the Spring ISD transportation center. The facility is on lockdown as of this hour.

Spring ISD's Karen Garrison said the shots were fired near I-45 and Richey Road, near the school's transportation center. No schools are affected. Garrison added no Spring ISD employees are directly involved in this incident.

Spring ISD police cars are now posted at every entrance near the facility.

SkyEyeHD was over the scene this morning and deputies could be seen investigating the passenger side of a truck in a parking lot near the Spring ISD facilities.
