Pedestrian dies after being struck on Spur 330 northbound at I-10

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on Spur 330 has died.

Major delays are expected as traffic is being re-routed around the accident scene on Spur 330 northbound at I-10.

There are few details about what happened here. The victim's name or gender has not been released by police.

An Eyewitness News crew at the scene said the body is still lying in the roadway. They are presumably awaiting the arrival of a medical examiner.

A white vehicle appears to have struck the pedestrian, but stopped at the scene.

Several other vehicles have stopped. We are told they belong to witnesses who saw the whole thing happen.
