One detained after gun fires accidentally inside Galleria

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man was detained after a gun was fired accidentally inside a store at the Galleria, police confirm.

Someone called 911 just after 8 p.m. reporting that a gun went off inside a store. A man was at the counter making a purchase, he dropped a backpack, causing the gun to fire.

No one was hit, police said.
