CONROE, TX -- The criminal investigation into the fatal July 1 boat crash on Lake Conroe was presented to a Montgomery County grand jury, which declined to present any indictments in the case.

The grand jury's term expired last week and the criminal investigation has concluded, Montgomery County Specialized Prosecutions Bureau Chief Tyler Dunman said in a statement to The Courier on Tuesday.

Three deaths resulted from the crash, in which a bass boat driven by Andrew Faterowski, also occupied by country music artist Josh Ward, struck a pleasure boat carrying the family of adults and children.

The body of Kristina Cole Frost, 29, was recovered the following afternoon half a mile north of the San Jacinto River Authority dam.
