Man drowns following jet ski accident in NE Harris Co.

HIGHLANDS, TX (KTRK) -- Authorities have yet to release the name of a man killed in a tubing accident on the San Jacinto River Sunday.

It happened in the Highlands off Banana Bend Beach. The 21-year-old man was riding on a tube that was being pulled by a jet ski.

Authorities say another jet ski slammed into the tube, tossing the man into the water where he drowned.

Police are investigating whether alcohol played a role in the crash.
