HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The man accused of running over a former co-worker four times made his first appearance in court.

Rogelio Alberto Guardado is 69 years old and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Guardado was arrested yesterday for allegedly running over San Juanita Herrera four times with his pickup truck back on September 12.

A witness saw the whole thing happen and even spoke to the victim who told the witness it was Guardado driving the vehicle.

The truck used in the alleged assault is Guradado's work vehicle, which has the name of his company on the side of the truck.

Police say they found the truck at Guradado's home, but he has since denied being at the apartment complex where Herrera was run over.

Herrera told the witness she used to work for Guardado but did not give a potential motive for the attack.

In court, prosecutors told the judge what witnesses say took place at Herrera's apartment complex.

A prosecutor said, "The driver of the truck struck the complainant at the, their at the entrance, and then traveled to the rear of the apartment complex, turned and struck her a second time, then put the truck in reverse and backed over her a third time and then drive forward out of the complex, running over her a fourth time."

We want to tell you that we did edit the audio from the court to remove the Spanish translation of the incident because of time constraints.

As for the victim, she was last reported to be in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

A judge set Guradado's bond at $30,000.
