Kim and Kanye to Marry in Italy: Other Celebs Who Wed There

-- A celebrity wedding extraordinaire is set to take place May 24 in Italy as Kim Kardashian and Kanye West tie the knot.

The power couple will get married at Florence's imposing 16th century Belvedere Fort, a spokeswoman at the Florence mayor's office told the Associated Press last week.

Kimye is not the first celebrity couple to have their nuptials in Italy. Here are some other couples that chose the country as the place to celebrate their love.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes

The iconic movie star and the "Dawson's Creek" actress tied the knot in 2006 at the Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano. Holmes wore a gown by Giorgio Armani and guests included Will Smith and Jennifer Lopez. Sadly, the duo split in 2012.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel

The N'SYNC frontman and the actress married at the Borgo Egnazia resort in the southern Italian city of Fasano in 2012. Timberlake played the guitar and sang to Biel as she walked down the aisle in a pink Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen

The singer and his supermodel wife got married just last September in Lake Como, Italy. The bride wore a strapless ivory Vera Wang gown. She changed into a second Wang gown for the reception. Legend performed "All of Me," which he wrote about his blushing bride, at the wedding.

Bill Rancic and Giuliana Rancic

The E! News anchor and "Apprentice" winner married in 2007 at the Church of Santa Sofia in Capri. The bride wore a two-piece Monique Lhuillier gown.
