HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police used a dog to subdue a suspect in north Houston overnight.

Investigators say the suspect attacked his girlfriend at a home on Harrington at Chapman, then trashed the place.

He ran away when police arrived, but they were able to use a police dog to catch him.

Once officer's caught up, the dog had the man by his leg. He's now facing evading charges.
