HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A judge has set bond for the man accused of killing a student at Texas Southern University earlier this month.
The suspect, Jartis Leblanc, Jr., did not appear in-person at probable cause court Sunday afternoon. The judge in the case set bonds of $50,000. LeBlanc, 22, is charged with murder and aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.
According to investigators, LeBlanc shot and killed 18-year-old freshman Brent Randall and injured his brother on October 9.
LeBlanc was arrested Saturday during a SWAT standoff in north Houston. He is expected in court on Monday.
