CY-FAIR, TX (KTRK) -- Three houses caught fire when a gas line ruptured Tuesday morning at a Cy-Fair neighborhood.
The Cy-Fair Fire Department was dispatched just before noon to a report about the rupture in the 19900 block of Lizzie Ridge Lane. But by the time they arrived, a fire had erupted and it spread to three homes under construction.
"The fire was caused when a fence crew struck a gas line while digging a hole," said Interim Captain Dean Hensley of the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office.
A worker was treated for minor burns at the scene, but no other injuries were reported.
One house of the homes was completely destroyed in the blaze.
