Four adults, three children arrested on burglary charges

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Three children and four adults were arrested early this morning. They are suspected of stealing food and beer from a small grocery store in northeast Houston.

Around midnight, Houston police responded to the "P & H Food Mart" in the 3300 block of Green Street for a burglary in progress call. Once they arrived, police said they spotted one adult and seven children walking out of the back door of the store with beer and other stolen items.

A second adult was found inside the food mart after a K-9 unit was sent in.

The youngest in the group arrested was an 11-year-old child. Police say everyone involved will face felony burglary charges.
