HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A Saturday afternoon fire is out after damaging a southwest Houston apartment complex leasing office.

Houston Fire Department was called to the Villas at Coronado, located near Lakes at 610 Drive, around 3pm. Officials said the fire started at the leasing office of the apartment complex, which is housed in a building separate from the residential area.

Initially, a ladder truck sprayed water onto the roof of the leasing office before part of the roof collapsed. The fire did not damage any apartment units, officials said.

A Houston firefighter was taken to a hospital to be examined. He was conscious, sitting upright, and on oxygen as he was loaded onto an ambulance.

No injuries were reported.
