KATY, TX (KTRK) -- Detectives say two men caught burglarizing a Fort Bend County home may be responsible for at least four other break-ins in the Richmond and Katy areas.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office says it's been investigating a spike in burglaries and officers were on the lookout for a 2007 black Ford Edge ever since September 3, when a resident in the Aliana subdivision called to report a suspicious vehicle.

Last week, deputies had a break in the case when they spotted the car in the 21800 block of Cayman Point Drive and caught the burglary suspects red-handed. The suspects were eventually arrested in the 600 block of Mason Road after the driver pulled over.

The suspects, 26-year-old Eyller Castillo, and Mainer Gonzalez, 29, are charged with burglary of a habitation and being held on $50,000 bonds in the Fort Bend County Jail.

Castillo also is on probation out of Edison, New Jersey, and Gonzalez is on an ICE hold. Both men are originally from Colombia.

The arrests have cleared four other burglary cases in the Richmond and Katy areas, and may clear more cases.

"Burglaries have been a focus for the Sheriff's Office and we are cracking down on criminals who break into Fort Bend County homes and businesses," said Sheriff Troy E. Nehls. "Our detectives and deputies are steadily pursuing burglary cases and we are seeing positive results."
