BRAZORIA COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- A haunting melody fills the space beneath a solitary bridge in the Angleton area, as friends gathered in memory of a young man found decapitated.

Police found the body of 24-year-old Jubal Alexander inside his truck on April 27th. His head is still missing.

"My son, he enjoyed life and loved to play the guitar, loved music," Jubal Alexander Sr. said of his son.

Jubal Sr. and other family members and friends held a candlelight vigil beneath the bridge on FM 2004 Saturday night. Jubal's older brother, also named Jubal, set up speakers at the vigil, playing his younger brother's guitar music.

"I wish he could see my daughter, my son, his nephew and niece," Jubal Castleberry said. " And I could see him again, tell him how much I love him, how much I wish I could be with him again."

Jubal Sr. said his son worked long hours at a chemical plant and slept in his truck underneath the bridge to save money.

"He didn't hang around in gangs, he didn't do drugs. Everything we teach our children to do, you can have anything you want in life, just go work for it," Jubal Sr. said.
