HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man is facing charges for impersonating a fire marshal.
Houston police arrested Marshall Smith, 50, after he threatened to shut down a man's place of business.
Court documents say on Sunday, Smith went to the victim's place of business and tried to shut it down for violating the occupancy ordinance of the city of Houston.
Smith is not a fire marshal and has a criminal history which includes a felony burglary conviction. The judge sent his bail at $10,000.
