Elementary school student reportedly had gun, bullets on HISD campus

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A student is facing disciplinary action after reports of a gun and bullets on an HISD campus yesterday.

School administrators were told this morning that the student brought the items to Gross Elementary School in southwest Houston and showed them to other students.

HISD police were notified and the school was put in secure mode while officers conducted a search.

No weapons were found.

The student was questioned and the district says appropriate disciplinary action is being taken.

The student also will be charged with exhibition of a firearm.
