Car goes up in flames at downtown parking garage

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A car caught fire at a parking garage near downtown this morning.

Smoke poured out of the garage's second floor. The garage is connected to the 24-Hour Fitness at the intersection of Milam and Elgin.

Firefighters are on the scene and Houston police blocking off the intersection. We saw gym members coming out of the facility to check on their vehicles.
