POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- Another marijuana-growing operation has been uncovered in Polk County.
Five fields were found on FM 943 near Highway 146 Tuesday night. Investigators spent this morning pulling up 6,000 plants. A tip from a neighbor led to the bust.
"About a water well and a generator that was buried in the ground in a muffler type situation, which tends to lead you to believe it's going to be some kind of illicit grow going on within the woods," said Polk County Sheriff Kenneth Hammack.
No suspects have been identified. The field is about ten miles from another huge pot field bust in Polk County last week.
