Child struck by car near elementary school suffers minor injuries

FORT BEND COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- An 8-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a car near Burton Elementary School.

Fort Bend ISD officials say the accident happened just before 8:00am. The boy suffered minor injuries, described as scrapes and bruises, but he was transported to St. Lukes in Sugar Land as a precaution.
