Apparent murder-suicide
Two men and a woman are dead and two other women were injured early Sunday morning.

MANVEL, TX (KTRK) -- Two men and a woman are dead and two other women were injured early Sunday morning in what appears to be a murder-suicide, according to a Brazoria County Sheriff's Office spokesman.

The Brazoria County Sheriff's Office were called out to a call in the 200 block of Oak Shore Drive, Manvel, Brazoria County after 1:30am.

Neighbors say they woke up in the middle of the night to gunshots and a medical helicopter landing in a nearby field.

"I was standing on the porch and heard gunshots, about seven or eight of them. So I called my husband and said there's somebody shooting down here." said Cindy Roberts.

Her husband Cliff said their family hasn't lived in the neighborhood long so he didn't know the people involved but added, "I don't know, had issues I guess."

A male allegedly admitted to shooting his wife.

A short time later Brazoria County Sheriff's Office patrol units arrived on scene and discovered a 28-year-old male, 30-year-old male and a 50-year-old female all deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.

Deputies also discovered a 36-year-old female with a gunshot wound to the head area and a 43-year-old female with a gunshot wound to the abdominal area.

The 36-year-old female was transported to Herman Memorial Hospital by Life Flight in critical condition and the 43-year-old female was transported to Ben Taub Hospital by ambulance also in critical condition.

At this time the identity of the deceased and the surviving victims is being held pending notification of family members.

Jeff Rose said his family lives towards the front of the neighborhood and heard police cars and helicopters.

"I've lived here 20 years and this is first time I've seen or heard anything like this happen around here," said Rose.
