2 dead in 2 separate shootings on northeast side

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- One person is dead in what investigators believe was an attempted murder-suicide in northeastern Harris County.

The shooting happened just before 3 p.m. on the 6200 block of Gaston.

Meanwhile, another person was reported fatally shot on the 5800 block of Lyons in northeast Houston around the same time.

Investigators are still working both scenes.

No other details have been released.
