1 person killed after being struck by bus near downtown Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- One person is dead after being struck by a tour bus Tuesday near downtown Houston.

Houston police arrived to the scene at 1934 Caroline Street just before 4 p.m. According to investigators, a female was walking near St. Joseph Medical Center when she was struck by the First Class Tours bus.

She died at the scene.

Investigators will work to determine if the woman was crossing at the pedestrian light and if it was green at the time.

The victim's name has not been released.
