National Weather Service finds signs of tornado in Iowa Colony

IOWA COLONY, Texas (KTRK) -- An investigator with the National Weather Service has found evidence of an EF-0 tornado in Iowa Colony.

The NWS Houston office tweeted that their Warning Coordinator Meteorologist is out on a damage survey and spotted signs that a tornado with 60 mph winds struck.

Strong storms rattled southeast Houston late in the day Wednesday and overnight into Thursday.

Some reports of damage have popped up around town.
