Prosecution's star witness testifies in 'Money Mike' trial

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- "He took his pants off and put my hand on him."

That's the testimony from a now 18-year-old woman who claims a man she and her friends nicknamed "Money Mike" paid them for sexual favors.

Michael McIntosh, 63, is on trial for sexual assault of a child.

We are not identifying that young woman now because prosecutors consider her a victim. She agreed to testify in exchange for authorities dropping criminal charges against her. She had been arrested for allegedly "compelling prostitution."

That 18-year-old woman says she was 16 years old when she met McIntosh while she was working at a local restaurant/bar as a hostess. She claims he gave her $100 immediately upon meeting her. Another day she says he paid her and four friends $300 each just for visiting him at his Friendswood home.

She testified that only later, upon her second visit to his home, things became more intimate. Describing him as becoming increasingly frustrated she claimed he said he's not "...gonna continue to give us money for nothing."

They went into his bedroom and stripped down, she told the jury. That's when she said he took his clothes off and he put her hand on him. She claims she became uncomfortable and left but then saw her friend having sex with McIntosh a short time later. Upon leaving she claims they were both paid.

Seven teenage girls, some as young as 14 at the time, have testified McIntosh paid them for visiting him.

However, according to McIntosh's attorney Charles Thompson, "Their testimony has a lot of credibility issues... all of these witnesses admitted to lying about all different aspects, in order to get money."

Thompson says, for example, that this teen who prosecutors dropped charges against is still after money. She admitted on the witness stand that she has filed a $2 million civil suit against McIntosh which Thompson says will be much easier for her to win if she's considered a victim and no longer a suspect.

McIntosh could be sent to prison for up to 20 years if convicted.
