HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Family members say a missing mom who is deaf hasn't been seen since she walked near Milby High School late last month.
According to the family of Elizabeth Barboza Rivera, the 60-year-old woman was last seen on Oct. 27 in southeast Houston.
Her daughters say it is out of character for Rivera not to return home, and they are worried that someone might take advantage of her.
"She goes home at night to cook for her boyfriend, to get ready for the next day," said Wendy Martinez, Rivera's daughter. "And for her not to go home, it's a big deal for her."
Authorities say Rivera has a leg injury and walks with a slight limp.
She is 5'6" and weighs 150 to 160 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
Rivera usually spends time in the area of Broadway and Magnolia on Navigation, said family members.
She also has a small tear on her right ear lobe.
Family members urged anyone who has seen Rivera to call 979-241-2007.
