HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A METRORail technician who pulled the motorist of a burning vehicle out to safety will be honored for his heroic act.
Last month, a car crashed into a safety barrier near the 66th Street rail crossing. Within minutes, the car became engulfed in flames.
Leang "Terry" Ear was in the middle of his overnight shift when he witnessed the entire accident. Ear pulled the driver out of the vehicle and to safety with just seconds to spare.
Although he says he's no hero, city officials will honor him Thursday at a board of directors meeting.
